After finishing three semesters of mechanical engineering courses, four semesters of classes focused on aerospace engineering and one semester in which I wrote my bachelor's thesis on the use of virtual reality in mechanical design, I received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. The study programme follows the dual system, which means that I also completed an accompanying apprenticeship (see below).

As part of my dual studies, I also did an apprenticeship in the space division at Airbus in Bremen. As a technical product designer I learned how to use CAD (computer aided design) tools and gathered valuable experience in working in this high-tech field with very unique requirements.

After elementary school I went to the Marion-Dönhoff-Gymnasium in Nienburg (Weser) which I graduated in 2016. As my graduating subjects I chose Chemistry, Maths, English, Politics and Physics. The school year of 2013/14 I spent in the United States, where I did an exchange year through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship. I lived there for ten months and visited the High School in Geneva, OH.

Since finishing my bachelor's studies in summer of 2020, I work in the mechanical engineering department at Airbus. Here I am contributing to the Orion programme for which the European Service Module (the propulsion and life-support part of the Orion spacecraft) is built in Bremen. Specifically, I work in the mechanical design team, where I do detailed design for mechanical and mechatronical parts.
